Job Summary
We are seeking an Employment Litigation Associate to join our Washington and national employment law practice. The successful candidate will focus on employment litigation representing clients in complex commercial litigation and arbitration matters. This role requires a professional dedicated to a collaborative client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle employment litigation matters in federal courts to represent client interests effectively.
- Manage employment litigation cases within Washington state courts in compliance with local rules.
- Participate in complex commercial litigation matters across the national employment law practice.
- Represent clients in complex arbitration matters to resolve employment-related disputes.
- Draft high-quality legal documents essential for litigation arbitration and client advisory services.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research to support litigation strategies and client advice.
- Develop strategic approaches for managing complex commercial and employment litigation cases.
- Advise clients on federal employment laws and all applicable federal regulations.
- Provide detailed legal guidance regarding Washington state employment laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with firm partners to deliver high-quality and client-focused legal solutions.
- Work alongside senior associates and support staff to manage case workflows and delivery.
- Focus on employment litigation as a core component of the Washington and national practice.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years in employment litigation or complex commercial litigation.
- Member or pending member of the Washington State Bar.
- Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school.
- Experience at large defense firms or smaller firms handling sophisticated employment defense matters.
- Excellent writing research analytical and verbal communication skills.
- Broad understanding of federal and Washington employment laws (Preferred).
- Experience in both litigation and arbitration (Preferred).
- Desire to work in a collaborative client-focused environment (Preferred).
