This is an exciting opportunity to join Birmingham City Council as a Service Charge Assistant.
This is a new team within the Housing Management service; the role will involve assisting the Service Charge Manager on all aspect of tenant and leasehold service charges across the city. Birmingham City Council manage over 6500 leaseholders and 59000 Council tenants.
We are looking for a Service Charge Assistant who has knowledge or experience dealing with service charges for tenants and leaseholders. This role will be responsible for supporting and assisting the service charge function for the Council ensuring maximum income. Experience with working on property-related finances or service charge accounting would be desirable. The successful candidate must have good analytical skills be organised have good attention to detail and have excellent customer service skills.
Interviews for this role will be held in New Year 2026.
