Job Title:Warehouse Supervisor

Reports To: Parts Manager

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

SUMMARY

Manages performance of the parts warehouse. Performs needed shipping and receiving tasks and assists with tasks in the parts warehouse.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Must be able to complete any parts warehouse employees job duties in the event of their absence.
  • Must be able to effectively and efficiently route drivers to destinations.
  • Runs paperwork needed to check in stock and special order parts every morning.
  • Separates stock and special order parts.
  • Assists in putting away stock order parts.
  • Sends and receives parts letters and packages for the dealership.
  • Locates and returns parts for the Parts Inventory Protection Program.
  • Assists in dispatching the parts delivery drivers.
  • Maintains the parts warehouse.
  • Loads and unloads delivery and freight trucks.
  • Operates forklift.
  • Logs incoming and outgoing items.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises a staff of approximately 8 employees who are employed in a sales or support capacity. Is responsible for the overall direction andcoordination unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and situations to clients and other employees of the organization. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement volume and distance. Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
