Job Summary

NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:

The position of Warehouse Tech is an individual contributor responsible for work assigned by management. Reports directly to their specific Lead or Supervisor but also receives direction from the Plant Manager. The associate interacts with co-workers and supervisors.

The position has limited freedom to act because work usually follows standardized practices and procedures and unusual problems are referred to an immediate supervisor.

PRIMARY Position Functions:

The Warehouse Tech is responsible for moving lifting and loading product manually and with the use of a forklift.

QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge/Skills:The position of Warehouse Tech requires a basic understanding of all relevant company procedures. Must have a cooperative attitude strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Communication Skills:The incumbent must possess basic oral and written communication skills in order to communicate with supervisors and co-workers. Reading skills are necessary to insure safety compliance when dealing with picking orders and understanding labels part numbers and job orders.

Length & Nature of Prior Experience:One year of previous forklift experience is required.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pulls finished product and pack in skids efficiently and accurately.

Label product and skids for shipping.

Load trucks with finished product.

Daily inspections and maintenance of forklift.

Maintain cleanliness of warehouse.

Follow all safety policies and procedures for forklifts.

Any other related duties that may be requested by management.

Must pay attention to detail

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Mental Effort:There is mental effort as a result of requirements to pay close attention to details. Work performed has some variety but changes are infrequent.

Physical Effort:The Warehouse Tech will be on and off the forklift continuously throughout the shift. Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance.

Working Conditions: Plant environment with regular exposure to uncomfortable physical factors.
