Job Duties
Maintain and manage the university export control compliance program.
Develop export control policies procedures guidance documents and document storage methods.
Manage research export control and related security and privacy issues for research compliance.
Monitor and control access to restricted information and safeguard all controlled materials.
Processes and approves grant related supplemental compensation requests.
Document export control compliance documents training sessions audits and inspections.
Coordinate with the IRB committee to ensure research university wide compliance with all federal guidelines.
Suggest changes for the efficacy and efficiency of research compliance and the overall research enterprise.
Other requirements:
Ability to coordinate audit and communicate activities related to research compliance.
Knowledgeable in research regulatory requirements covering a wide range of topics such as export control protection of human subjects in research research security and privacy and other research compliance issues.
Maintain the highest standard of personal & professional conduct in dealing with faculty staff students coworkers and the public.
Protect and maintain confidentiality of records.
Work cooperatively to achieve productivity and outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
Advanced knowledge in Export Control Compliance its tenets rules regulations policies and procedures as well as the ability to interpret those of related federal state and sponsoring agencies. Ability to coordinate audit and communicate activities related to export control.
Knowledgeable in research regulatory requirements covering a wide range of topics such as protection of human subjects in research data security and privacy international research compliance. Extensive mastery of database designs and management software programs.
Additional Considerations
A bachelors degree from an accredited institution of higher education. A person without a college degree should have at least three years of research administration research compliance management or auditing related experience; and at least five years of experience in a professional office setting is preferred. Ability to obtain certifications in export control and human subjects in research compliance.
