Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant / X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team in Bellaire TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing clinical support to physicians and staff performing diagnostic imaging procedures and ensuring excellent patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians and nursing staff with patient examinations and procedures.
  • Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging following established protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Prepare patients for X-ray procedures explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
  • Maintain and operate X-ray equipment ensuring proper calibration and cleanliness.
  • Document patient information medical histories and imaging results accurately in electronic health records.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards related to radiology and patient care.
  • Manage inventory of medical and radiology supplies and notify supervisors when replenishment is needed.
  • Assist with scheduling patient appointments and coordinating with other departments as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Certification or licensure as a Radiologic Technologist or X-ray Technician is required.
  • Previous experience in a clinical or radiology setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of radiographic techniques safety protocols and patient positioning.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-focused approach.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.

Work Environment

This position is based in a clinical setting in Bellaire TX. The role requires standing for extended periods assisting patients with mobility and handling radiographic equipment safely.
