Job Summary

Our client is a well-established plastics manufacturing company specialized in the production of high-quality technical plastic components through injection molding and blow molding technologies serving automotive and other demanding industrial sectors.
The company operates in a structured high-volume manufacturing environment supplying tiered industrial customers with strict requirements in terms of quality process stability and traceability. Production runs 24/7 with a strong focus on safety continuous improvement and operational excellence.
To support ongoing growth we are looking for an experienced Process Technician / Shift Supervisor to act as a key technical reference on the shop floor.

Role Overview
The Process Technician plays a key role in ensuring stable efficient and high-quality production operations. The position is responsible for troubleshooting process equipment performing production line setups and changeovers and managing start-up activities across all machines.
This role leads the build and validation of initial production samples at every start-up ensuring full compliance with process and customer requirements. The Process Technician ensures the optimal operation of blow molding and injection molding equipment oversees proper handling and maintenance of production tooling and actively supports the training and technical development of production teams.
Acting as a technical reference on the shop floor this position also participates in the Manager on Call rotation providing leadership and decision-making support during night-shift operations.

Key Responsibilities
Production & Process Operations
  • Supervise and control blow molding and injection molding machines ensuring stable and consistent production output
  • Perform full production line setups and changeovers achieving defect-free parts while meeting planned cycle times
  • Troubleshoot machines tooling and processes to minimize downtime and maintain production flow
  • Build and approve initial samples at every start-up ensuring compliance with customer specifications
  • Complete and maintain all production and quality documentation used during manufacturing
Equipment & Tooling Management
  • Maintain and clean production tooling before returning it to the Maintenance department
  • Initiate work orders for maintenance of machines equipment and tooling
  • Ensure machinery operates within defined process parameters
People & Operational Support
  • Support the Production Manager in training operators on machine operation and troubleshooting
  • Provide technical support to Maintenance during machine diagnostics
  • Act as part of the Manager on Call rotation to support night-shift operations
  • Ensure compliance with safety quality and company policies at all times

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Process Technician Production Setup or similar manufacturing role
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of plastic injection molding and/or blow molding processes
  • Proven ability to perform machine setup parameter optimization and start-ups
  • Solid troubleshooting skills in a production environment
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with production and maintenance teams
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in structured high-volume manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish or English/Italian) are a plus

Compensation
  • $28.00-31.00/hour
  • Shift differentials
