About the Role

Join us in providing person-centred support that truly makes a difference! Youll help people with physical and mental health needs in their homes and communities supporting daily routines like meal preparation medication and household tasks while also helping them enjoy activities they love whether its choir arts & crafts or pedal-powered adventures. Youll encourage independence nurture friendships and support people to explore volunteer opportunities and new experiences.

Duties could include:

  • Providing personalised support tailored to individual needs.
  • Offering emotional support and positive encouragement.
  • Completing light household tasks and basic administrative duties.
  • Bringing fresh ideas and helping to improve ways of working.
  • Checking and digitally recording medication stocks and personal finances in line with policy.

What Youll Need:

  • Experience working with people or customers
  • Experience working as part of a team
  • Basic literacy numeracy and IT skills
  • Flexibility our services run 24/7 and shift patterns vary
  • A full UK manual driving licence to be able to drive the Motability cars
  • Due to the specific needs of the individuals we support and current legal guidance this role is only open to applicants who are biologically female.

What are the pay and benefits

Experience working with vulnerable individuals particularly those with mental health needs or learning disabilities is desirable but not essential. We provide full training and ongoing development to support your success in the role.

  • Competitive salary of 24531.00 FTE (12.75 per hour)
  • Sleep-in rate: 62.64 per 8 hour shift
  • Waking night rate: 20% Enhancement from 11pm to 7am
  • Enhanced DBS which we will pay for
  • 26 days (pro rata) holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays rising to 27 days after 1 years service or cash equivalent of 1 days annual leave
  • Pension scheme.
  • Sick Pay rising with length of service up to 6 months full pay after 4 years
  • Bespoke learning pathway with the support from an experienced Learning and Development team
  • Wellbeing and psychological support and access to the Time for Talk counselling service
  • Colleague Discount platform Blue Light Card Eligibility giving discounts at 15000 brands
