This position will involve assisting in the delivery of the Firms Fund Solutions and Restructuring services based in Mumbai and/or Delhi. Typical assignments will include business development initiatives including pitchbook development proposal support and global research for global Liquidation/ End of Fund Life situations. .

Our Fund Solutions and Restructuring professionals serve as financial advisors to fund managers companies financial sponsors lenders creditors and other interested parties in special and distressed situations across virtually every industry and every situation throughout the business life cycle.

As a VP/Manager Fund Solutions you will be responsible for supporting complex fund liquidation and wind-down engagements across jurisdictions. This role will be based in India and will collaborate closely with global teams in the U.S. Europe and APAC to manage lead and deliver high-quality solutions to asset managers fund administrators and institutional investors navigating end-of-life fund addition to training junior staff members the successful candidate will work on a range of assignments including supporting the global teams in analyzing prospective fund solution opportunities supporting on drafting proposals including financial analysis of the portfolio supporting on multiple research initiatives and maintaining key stakeholder relations. The candidate will support the growth of the Fund Solutions and Restructuring business in the Asia & EMEA region.

Navigating Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation of customized proposals and responses for fund liquidation wind-down and other End of Fund Life mandates.
  • Review fund documentation (LPAs IMs governing documents) for right interpretations and submissions in pitch proposals.
  • Review the work of the junior team members coordinate and manage workflow amongst the team and ensure timely delivery of the proposals and other research initiatives.
  • Collaborate and support the global teams with multiple regular and ad hoc research initiatives.
  • Maintain and update standardized templates credentials and case studies for use across geographies.
  • Understanding of public and private databases like Pitchbook Preqin and Capital IQ is a must.
  • Coordinating and working with multiple teams across Kroll to ensure deadlines are met and proactively communicate progress/updates with external stakeholders.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with senior staff on high-level decision-making.
  • Understanding of valuation concepts
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with fund managers financial sponsors creditors asset agents and solicitors.
  • Ability to work in regulated environments like SEC Cayman Mauritius etc

  • Ability to develop and drive relationships with individuals from all industries.
  • Ability to master new tasks quickly whilst showing strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead a team consisting of Senior Associates and Analysts.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work on multiple assignments.
  • Ability to manage rapidly changing assignments and work well under pressure.
  • Strong team player and work in a team environment across multiple mandates.
  • Strong analytical critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to assess and manage risk deal with ambiguity and understand the commercial drivers of the outcomes of our work
  • Relevant degree achieving 2:1 or equivalent.
  • At least 6 to 7 years relevant experience.

  • Prior exposures to fund structures such as master/feeder management fee carry etc is preferred
  • A relevant accounting or investment qualification is preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
