Job Summary
Team Overview: We are responsible for building one of the lowest layers of the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure stack: Virtual Machines. The Virtual Machine Data Plane team is responsible for designing developing and optimizing the virtualization stack that supports running customer virtual machines. Our hypervisors run across different CPU architectures and virtualize underlying hardware capabilities like CPU GPU NVMe with near-bare metal performance. We are continually pushing the boundaries of virtualization technology to achieve our mission of offering customers highly-performant always-available and elastic virtual machines.
Role Summary: As a Member of Technical Staff you will be responsible for leading software development efforts for significant features in Oracle Computes service offerings. The role requires a blend of hands-on engineering expertise and leadership skills focusing on building and operating large-scale highly available cloud services. The ideal candidate will mentor team members drive high-priority programs and contribute to the evolution of standard practices within the software engineering division.
Responsibilities
As a member of the software engineering division you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79200 to $178100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge skills experience market conditions and locations as well as reflect Oracles differing products industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
