Northwest Talent Solutions (NWTS) is partnering with a leading manufacturing organization to identify a Supplier Technical Engineer who can elevate supplier performance resolve complex quality issues and ensure product reliability at scale.
This is not a back-office quality role.
This position sits at the intersection of supplier accountability manufacturing execution and engineering rigorworking directly with suppliers to solve problems at the source.
What Youll Do
- Partner directly with suppliers to identify diagnose and resolve quality issues
- Lead and support supplier quality improvement initiatives
- Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to ensure sustainable solutions
- Conduct supplier audits inspections and process evaluations
- Implement and maintain process controls quality standards and certification programs
- Support new product qualification and supplier onboarding
- Analyze quality data to identify trends risks and improvement opportunities
- Collaborate across engineering supply chain and manufacturing teams

What You Bring
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Supply Chain or related field
- 25 years of experience in:
- Supplier Quality
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Quality Engineering in production environments
- Experience with:
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) 8D CAPA PFMEA
- Supplier audits and quality systems
- Strong ability to:
- Work cross-functionally and influence outcomes
- Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to precision manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with:
- Investment casting
- Airfoils (blades nozzles) or similar high-spec components
