Job Description:

We have a need for a Security Alarm and low voltage technician with experience installing fire and security systems. The primary role of this position is to install test inspect service troubleshoot and repair low voltage panels wiring and devices.

Responsibilities:

• Services troubleshoots and repairs low voltage systems wiring and devices.
• Test and Inspection of alarm systems
• Installation of CCTV Security alarm and access control systems
• Programming of security systems when needed
• Provides professional quality customer support.
• Educate and train end users on system operation and functionality.
• Maintains the necessary truck stock/inventory (equipment and tools).
• Ensures the progress and completion of assigned tasks.
• Utilize our field service units (IPAD) for documentation of service and hours worked.
• Completes and submits all required task-related activities productivity and other documentation in a timely manner.
• Posses a strong work ethic with attention to detail
• Must complete other projects as assigned.

Qualification:

• Minimum of High School Diploma/Vocational Training.
• Must have three (3) or more years of experience in the low voltage industry.
• Must have knowledge of trouble shooting commercial intrusion systems fire systems CCTV Systems.
• Must have a working knowledge of local/national codes.
• Must be able to read plans use a variety of tools and install panels boxes and wiring accordingly.
• OSHA 10 or higher is preferred
• Must have a valid drivers license. Candidate would be subject to pre-employment drug test and background check
• NICET Certification is a plus

Work Environment & Physical requirements:

• Exposure to outside weather conditions risk of electrical shock and harsh work environments.

• While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to: Stand; walk; sit; twist; use hands to handle; reach with hands and arms; push; pull; climb or balance; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; talk and hear.
• Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions/circumstances such as with ladders scaffolding high lift equipment wires ducts crawl spaces attics above ceilings etc.
• Lift move and hold up to approximately 45 lbs.
• Must be able to work a full-time Monday thru Friday also participate in our on-call rotation with other technical staff
• Must be able to drive a motor vehicle (day and evenings) for extended time periods.
