Our client is a leading banking corporation in Vietnam seeking experienced professionals to join their firm.
Lead and manage the Legal Department ensuring the organizations operations commercial activities and corporate actions comply with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
Provide strategic legal guidance to business units and support functions to safeguard the companys interests and minimize legal financial and reputational risks.
Oversee the drafting review negotiation and management of contracts agreements and legal documents to ensure accuracy and enforceability.
Supervise legal research activities and monitor regulatory developments that may affect business operations ensuring timely updates to management.
Manage and evaluate external legal counsel ensuring quality efficiency and cost-effectiveness of outsourced legal services.
Direct the handling of disputes litigation and recovery cases ensuring appropriate strategies and resolutions.
Advise senior management on legal risks corporate governance matters and compliance issues.
Ensure internal policies procedures and business practices are consistent with legal requirements and industry standards.
Represent the organization in interactions with regulators authorities external partners and legal institutions when required.
Lead the development of legal frameworks templates and processes to support business growth and improve operational efficiency.
Build and mentor a high-performing legal team fostering continuous learning professional ethics and collaboration.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Law; a postgraduate or professional qualification is an advantage.
Minimum 810 years of relevant legal experience preferably within financial services banking or corporate sectors with at least several years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of corporate law commercial transactions regulatory requirements and legal matters related to the financial and banking industry.
Excellent command of English both written and spoken.
Strong legal drafting negotiation and analytical skills.
Proven ability to provide strategic legal advice and sound judgment under pressure.
Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to advise senior stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership ability and experience managing legal teams or external counsel.
High level of integrity professionalism and confidentiality.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work in fast-paced dynamic environments.
