• Lead and manage the Legal Department ensuring the organizations operations commercial activities and corporate actions comply with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
  

• Provide strategic legal guidance to business units and support functions to safeguard the companys interests and minimize legal financial and reputational risks.
  

• Oversee the drafting review negotiation and management of contracts agreements and legal documents to ensure accuracy and enforceability.
  

• Supervise legal research activities and monitor regulatory developments that may affect business operations ensuring timely updates to management.
  

• Manage and evaluate external legal counsel ensuring quality efficiency and cost-effectiveness of outsourced legal services.
  

• Direct the handling of disputes litigation and recovery cases ensuring appropriate strategies and resolutions.
  

• Advise senior management on legal risks corporate governance matters and compliance issues.
  

• Ensure internal policies procedures and business practices are consistent with legal requirements and industry standards.
  

• Represent the organization in interactions with regulators authorities external partners and legal institutions when required.
  

• Lead the development of legal frameworks templates and processes to support business growth and improve operational efficiency.
  

• Build and mentor a high-performing legal team fostering continuous learning professional ethics and collaboration.
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Law; a postgraduate or professional qualification is an advantage.
  

• Minimum 810 years of relevant legal experience preferably within financial services banking or corporate sectors with at least several years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  

• Strong knowledge of corporate law commercial transactions regulatory requirements and legal matters related to the financial and banking industry.
  

• Excellent command of English both written and spoken.
  

• Strong legal drafting negotiation and analytical skills.
  

• Proven ability to provide strategic legal advice and sound judgment under pressure.
  

• Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to advise senior stakeholders.
  

• Demonstrated leadership ability and experience managing legal teams or external counsel.
  

• High level of integrity professionalism and confidentiality.
  

• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work in fast-paced dynamic environments.
