LEGAL EXECUTIVE (FINTECH / IT SECURITY)

Compliance data protection and system-level legal integrity are critical to their ability to operate and scale responsibly. This role exists to ensure legal and regulatory requirements are embedded directly into product design and operational execution.

Role Purpose & Success Outcomes

Purpose:
Ensure fintech products and operational processes comply with applicable laws and regulations translating legal and regulatory requirements into practical system-level guidance for technical and non-legal teams.

Success outcomes:

• Legal and compliance requirements are accurately reflected in product design workflows and documentation.
• Regulatory risks related to fintech cybersecurity and data protection are identified early and mitigated.
• Cross-functional teams clearly understand and apply legal obligations in daily operations.
• Regulatory updates are monitored and assessed with timely guidance provided to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Research develop and review legal and compliance frameworks for technology products with a focus on e-wallets payment intermediary services and financial security systems.
• Provide legal advice on information security personal data protection electronic transactions AML KYC and digital payment compliance.
• Work closely with IT Product and Security teams to ensure operational processes comply with applicable laws and regulations.
• Translate legal and regulatory requirements into clear actionable guidance for system design workflows and internal procedures.
• Monitor new and updated regulations related to fintech digital banking cashless payments cybersecurity and data privacy.
• Assess regulatory impact on existing products and propose necessary adjustments.
• Support communication and coordination with relevant authorities and regulatory bodies when required.

Candidate Profile

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Law (preferably Economic Law IT Law or Banking & Finance Law).
• Advanced degrees or professional certifications in compliance or technology law are nice-to-have.

Professional Experience

• Hands-on experience in at least one of the following:

  • Developing or managing legal/compliance processes for fintech platforms e-wallets or payment systems; or
  • Building and implementing financial security information security or data protection processes.
• Experience in fintech digital banking e-wallet providers or technology companies handling large-scale data is nice-to-have.
• Background in developing policies SOPs or compliance frameworks for technology products is nice-to-have.

Technical Skills

• Ability to work with technical documentation system workflows and process diagrams.
• Strong capability in translating legal requirements into practical guidance for non-legal teams.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks related to fintech cybersecurity and data protection is nice-to-have.

Knowledge Domain

• Electronic transactions and digital payment regulations.

• Cybersecurity and personal data protection regulations.

• Fintech operations and payment intermediary services.

• AML and KYC regulatory requirements.

Working Style & Culture

• Detail-oriented and structured with strong risk awareness.
