About the opportunity
The Associate Lecturer in Geospatial Science will have an active role in development delivery assessment and administration of teaching and learning material into specific units contributing to the Bachelor of Geospatial Science and related courses. Delivery of the units may include online and in person (blended) delivery.
The Associate Lecturer in Geospatial Science will contribute to the seamless delivery of innovative high-quality learning and teaching programs fostering positive student experiences and strengthening connections between the University industry and global communities.
What youll do:
- Make an effective and sustained contribution to the University in achieving its strategic objectives and fulfilling its operational responsibilities.
- Undertake scholarly undergraduate (and if relevant postgraduate) coursework teaching of a high quality in order to meet the Universitys performance expectations for Level A. Including: consultation with students marking and assessment connected with courses taught production of teaching materials and development of course material with appropriate guidance from the course or program coordinator.
- Review and revise existing teaching materials and develop new teaching materials where needed (lectures practicals and assessments).
- Communicate and engage effectively with students prospective students and University staff.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of productive and effective links inside the University and locally and nationally with the discipline relevant interdisciplinary domains profession industry and/or wider community.
What were looking for:
- Experience in University-level teaching and learning within the field of expertise.
- A record of contributing to building and maintaining effective and productive networks with the discipline profession industry (where relevant) and wider community.
- Proven history of successfully collaborating within a team and the ability to work independently to achieve timely outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in developing supervising and assessing University-level learning activities.
- Proven experience in delivering units face to face and online delivery mode is desirable.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level A and will have a total remuneration package of up to $125877 pro rata comprising base salary within the range of $83198 to $107587 plus 17% superannuation pro rata.
