Veterinary Operations Manager

Calusa Veterinary Center is seeking a full-time Operations manager to provide leadership and structure to our team of veterinarians technicians and support staff. With a solid understanding of the veterinary industry and prior experience overseeing clinic operations youll be responsible for leading with clarity managing multiple priorities and contributing directly to the ongoing excellence of the clinic and the well-being of the animals we care for.

What to Expect

Salary:$70K-$90K depending on skills and experience

Schedule:40 hours per week. Monday- Friday with some weekends and nighttime shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership:Oversee the day-to-day functions including reception scheduling billing and medical records management to ensure efficiency and optimal performance.
• Team Management:Recruit hire train supervise and mentor all support staff (e.g. veterinary technicians assistants receptionists). This includes managing schedules performance reviews disciplinary actions and fostering a positive work culture and cohesive team environment.
• Financial Oversight:Manage budgets monitor financial performance (including P&L statements) oversee accounts receivable and payable and implement cost-effective measures to drive profitability.
• Client Relations:Maintain a high standard of client satisfaction address concerns promptly and ensure a positive experience for both pets and owners.
• Facilities & Inventory Management:Oversee the maintenance of the clinic including equipment function and maintenance cleanliness and the ordering and control of all inventory and supplies.
• Strategic Planning & Marketing:Collaborate with the practice owner(s) or Medical Directors to develop business strategies implement growth initiatives and coordinate marketing efforts to attract and retain clients.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience:A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in veterinary practice management or a similar leadership role is typically required.
• Leadership:Strong leadership decision-making and problem-solving skills are essential to lead and motivate a diverse team.
• Communication:Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff clients vendors and regulatory bodies.
• Business Acumen:Knowledge of business and financial management principles including budgeting P&L analysis and human resources expertise.
• Education:A bachelors degree in business veterinary management or a related field is often preferred.
