Job Summary
The School Crossing Guard will provide for the safe movement of children to and from school when crossing public roadways and intersections by observing gaps in the traffic and leading the children across the roadway or intersection. The crossing works one morning shift and one afternoon shift Monday through Friday during the public school year. Hours will vary on early release and early dismissal days. ResponsibilitiesStop all traffic from the middle of the crosswalk before allowing any students to Guard must use the stop sign and wear the reflective vest so to be seen from each traveling students not to cross the street until you have stopped all in the crosswalk until all students have safely commitment to alternatives to the above qualifications as the the Superintendent or designee may find :Assists students and provides safe access to and from to follow oral and written to deal effectively and courteously with children and the general duties as pays $15 per crossing/$30 per hour for morning and afternoon crossingThis position is not benefits eligibleEqual Opportunity EmployerNewburyport Public Schools does not discriminate in its programs activities or employment practices based on race color national origin age religion gender gender identity sexual orientation or disability.
