RecruitNet International Ltd is hiring an Director of Nursing (DON) for a Nursing home in Co Limerick Ireland.
Responsibilities
Ensure all clinical care meets regulatory requirements HIQA standards and company quality systems.
Oversee person-centred care planning and continuously monitor clinical practice through regular audits and follow-up actions.
Lead staff induction ongoing training and promote innovative and best-practice care approaches.
Manage administrative functions when required including financial procedures resident funding records and overall budget oversight.
Maintain compliance with legislative requirements relating to financial management for residents with impaired capacity.
Hold regular communication meetings foster strong community links and support initiatives that promote the Homes profile.
Manage the complaints process ensuring full documentation investigation and resolution.
Implement Health & Safety and fire-safety procedures and ensure high standards of hygiene catering (HACCP) and preventative maintenance.
Participate in recruitment selection and training-needs analysis to support effective workforce planning.
Ensure all HR policies align with employment legislation and verify that all registered nurses remain on the current NMBI Register.
Requirements
Registered General Nurse (RGN) with at least 3 years experience in the past 6 years in older adult care.
Holds a post-registration management qualification in health or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years management experience within the health or social care sector.
Registered on the appropriate division of the NMBI live register.
Demonstrated track record in clinical and healthcare management.
Strong leadership organisational and communication skills.
Effective decision-making abilities with a results-focused approach.
Solid understanding of financial processes and budget considerations.
Self-motivated with the ability to motivate others and work independently.
Strong team player with flexibility to adapt to organisational needs.
