Location: Leeds/London/Dublin

Role purpose:

The Associate Director of Strategy Partnering is a senior role within Flutter Functions with accountability for leading an established team consisting of Strategy Partners.

This role will work with the Gorup Director of Strategic Change & Transformation to set the direction for the team and continuously enhance the value proposition for the team. The successful candidate will bring to bear the set of standards and procedures in place whilst continuously evolving them as required to enable the team to continue to be a highly effective unit today.

This position requires an excellent communicator with structured thinking and strong social skills who can effectively engage a diverse and senior set of partners across the Group.

The Strategy Partnering team are key contributor to achieving this purpose and has specialisms in:

  • STRATEGY DESIGN curious by our nature we ask questions to unearth problems that can be turned into opportunities. Working in partnership with our partners we build an understanding of the long-term vision and use that knowledge to tailor an approach that drives the right outcomes.
  • OP MODEL DESIGN we support our collaborators to evaluate their current state and design a target state that enables and sustains future success. Joining us as our Associate Director of Strategy Partnering you will lead the continued evolution of the team and ensure a constant focus on demonstrating value and the Flutter Edge in practice.

Accountabilities:

  • To contribute to the development and delivery of a clear purpose and vision for the overall Strategic Change and Transformation team based on value add and a commitment to continuous improvement using data and insights.
  • To demonstrate internal and external standard process to support the continued evolution of the team and the COO Function (as required) including:
  • How we drive effectiveness and simplicity through our operating model.
  • How we generate and apply important insights in all that we do.
  • How we develop our talent to support the maturation of our service.
  • How we enable our team members to succeed through insights and thought leadership.
  • To be curious and encourage new ways to accelerate the team and collaborators through AI.
  • To prioritise the Strategy Partners teams initiatives to align with the Group Director of Strategic Change & Transformations objectives.
  • To coach and mentor team members providing opportunities for each to learn and grow.
  • To recruit and induct top talent.
  • To develop excellent working relationships with key collaborators up to and including C-suite members.
  • To partner with the Group Director and peers in the leadership team to achieve the broader vision and strategic outcomes.
  • To lead a global community of Strategic Leaders across the Group enabling relationship building insight sharing etc.
  • To lead by example and fostering an organisational culture that embraces on change and continuous improvement while serving as a role model in the promotion of the Groups position on responsible gambling sustainability and DE&I.

Key Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience of operating in a senior role within a fast-paced global online/eCommerce organization ideally one with a multi-divisional structure.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading teams and successfully enabling continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrable experience of creating effective long-term strategies and successfully implementing them.
  • Extensive experience of internal and external relationship management supported by excellent verbal and written communication skills with a style that can flex according to the audience. The Associate Director of Strategy Partnering will be required to develop excellent working relationships with keyparticipantss up to and including C-suite members.
  • Experience of recruiting and developing talent.
  • Experience of making well-informed data-drive and timely decisions.
  • Experience of simplifying situations and demonstrating creative thinking to assess alternatives to identify the most effective solution to the problem.

Be able to:

  • Articulate a vision for the team in a way that engages and motivates team members
  • Build and own relationships with senior stakeholders across the Group to continually assess and understand opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the team
  • Communicate brilliantly the value proposition and impact of the team
  • Attract select and support the development of high calibre talent in the team.

Experience:

  • Proven track record of effectively operating in a senior role building and leading a best-in-class team across locations and geographies
  • Proven ability to provide thought leadership and shape strategy at a Cross-Divisional or Global level
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders at senior levels throughout a global organization
  • Structured thinking and a clear ability to effectively shape senior stakeholders decision making
  • Excellent communication culturally aware and with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analysis problem resolution judgment and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be objective analytical and impartial with the ability to work to exacting timelines
