Job Title: Emergency Room Physician Assistant
Location: Nellis Air Force Base Las Vegas NV
Overview: Nellis AFB is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Physician Assistant to provide high-quality emergency and primary care under physician supervision. The PA will assess diagnose and treat patients in a fast-paced military medical environment.
Hours: Nellis is a 24/7 facility that would require applicants to be available for all shifts.
Pay: Salary range from $130K - $140K Annually
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an ARC-PAaccredited Physician Assistant Program.
Certifications: Current BLS ACLS and PALS (AHA or Red Crossapproved). NCCPA certification required. Certifications must remain current.
Experience: At least 24 months of PA experience within the last 36 months.
Licensure: Full unrestricted PA license in any U.S. state D.C. Puerto Rico or U.S. territory.
Board Certification: No additional board certification required.
Key Responsibilities
Provide emergency and primary care with physician supervision.
Conduct histories physical exams diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans.
Identify and manage emergent conditions; initiate treatment and coordinate higher-level care.
Approve/deny specialty referrals and support patient phone consults.
Deliver preventive care and admit inpatients per facility procedures.
Stabilize and prepare emergency patients for transfer or evacuation.
Perform nerve blocks (digital local infiltration intercostal) and urological procedures.
Maintain accurate inpatient and outpatient medical records.
