Key responsibilities
- Operations and production:Oversee daily operations implement production schedules to meet deadlines and ensure efficient and continuous production.
- Quality and process improvement:Implement and monitor quality control measures to meet standards identify and resolve defects and develop continuous improvement strategies.
- Cost management:Monitor production costs manage budgets and implement process changes to reduce costs and improve productivity.
- Team leadership:Manage lead and motivate plant staff conduct performance reviews and ensure effective team performance.
- Safety and compliance:Ensure compliance with all safety health and environmental regulations and maintain a safe work environment.
- Supply chain and inventory:Manage inventory levels and coordinate supply chain logistics.
Required qualifications
- Education:Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field or a diploma with significant experience.
- Experience:Extensive experience (typically 8-16 years) in a manufacturing environment with proven leadership and management experience in a plant setting.
- Technical skills:Strong knowledge of fabrication processes such as sheet metal welding CNC or injection molding.
- Management skills:Excellent leadership problem-solving planning and interpersonal skills.
- Process knowledge:Experience with quality management systems (like ISO 9001) and continuous improvement methodologies (like Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma) is often required.
