The role
As a Policy and Programs Officer you will support the development and delivery of programs and policies that help to meet their legislative and organisational responsibilities. Your role will involve conducting research preparing reports and correspondence coordinating stakeholder groups and contributing to the implementation and evaluation of initiatives that align with legislative and organisational goals.

Success in this role depends on managing multiple priorities under tight timeframes while maintaining accuracy and clarity in communication. Providing timely well-informed advice and ensuring stakeholders have access to consistent reliable information are key to supporting effective decision-making and program outcomes.

What you will bring to the role

  • Experience conducting policy-related research and analysis to support program development and evaluation.
  • Ability to coordinate stakeholder meetings working groups and consultations to support collaborative policy outcomes.
  • Skilled in drafting clear concise correspondence reports and briefing materials to inform decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with team members.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Maintains meticulous attention to detail amidst high-volume workloads ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks and deliverables.

Key knowledge and experience

  • Experience with policy and/or program design and delivery contributing to the review development or implementation of operational policies procedures or public facing program materials.
