Were seeking someone with senior experience in child protection social work or a related field who brings strong leadership skills a deep understanding of Home-Based Care and TCP frameworks and a commitment to Aboriginal culture and values. Youll be a strategic thinker a motivator of people and someone who thrives on collaboration and innovation.

This is a fulltime opportunity based in our Barwon/WSW region within our Home-Based Care and TCP Program. This position reports to the General Manager (Barwon/WSW).

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and evidence of senior level experience in social work public policy child protection out of home care or a related discipline.
  • A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children young people and their families.
  • Evidence of high level organisational and management skills to develop and improve programs to meet and/or exceed targets and deliver effective and successful outcomes.
  • Proven ability to supervise lead motivate and develop high functioning client outcome focused teams.
  • Experience as a member of a leadership team with the ability to work cross functionally at senior levels to deliver outcomes; proven networking engagement and relationship building skills and the ability to represent the organisation in various forums.
  • Understanding of and commitment to MacKillop objectives ethos and values and Sanctuary Commitments.

You must have a:

  • Valid and current Drivers Licence;
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
  • Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
  • Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles). MacKillop can assist successful candidates with their application.
