Registered Nurse Critical Care Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

You can choose between full-time or part-time positions in Richmond where you will work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to provide evidence-based nursing care for a diverse and complex patient collaboration with the broader hospital community you will care for patients with cardiothoracic neurological orthopaedic general surgical and complex medical cases. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager you will join a respectful and supportive ICU team that embraces challenges and enjoys high levels of job satisfaction.

You will make an impact by:

• Providing an outstanding patient experience in the critical care environment
• Delivering high standard of nursing care
• Demonstrating empathy and compassion to patients families and medical consultants
• Evaluating and monitoring your patients progress
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in your patients medical condition
• Creating and implementing effective care plans
• Acting as the communication link between doctors patients and the patients families.

To be successful in this role:

You enjoy collaborating with team members and patients to create an exceptional patient experience. Focused on positive patient outcomes you are professional compassionate and empathetic in your personal conduct. Holding confidence in your own abilities and a willingness to learn you can work autonomously and show initiative to identify tested or innovative patient-centric solutions.

You will have:

• ICU Nursing experience  
• Current nursing registration with AHPRA
• Postgraduate qualifications in Critical Care Nursing
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic
• Excels in high-pressure skilled environments while maintaining composure and delivering exceptional outcomes under critical conditions
• Solid understanding of health information structures and technology
• Availability to work day and night shifts including on-call participation

The annual salary range for full time Registered Nurses AUD $82236 - $103280  super entitlements depending on registration type year level and position/experience (prorated for part-time).
