We are delighted to offer two exciting opportunities to join our dedicated University Health and Counselling Service (UHCS) as a Clinical Administrator:

  • 1 Permanent full-time (37.5 hours per week).
  • 1 Fixed-term full-time (37.5 hours per week) for 18 months.
  • Salary Range is $54405 - $61700 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.

These roles sit at the heart of UHCS supporting students on their wellbeing journeys and ensuring they feel cared for respected and confident in accessing the services they need.

As the first point of contact for many students you will bring warmth empathy and professionalism to every interactionwhether thats welcoming students at reception coordinating appointments or guiding them toward the right support service. No two days are the same and your work will have a meaningful and immediate impact on student success and wellbeing.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Providing exceptional front-line service in a welcoming calm and inclusive environment
  • Coordinating appointments and supporting the daily operations of our clinical teams
  • Handling sensitive information with care accuracy and professionalism
  • Supporting clinical and administrative workflows including invoicing clinical record management scanning reporting and insurance checks
  • Becoming a valued contributor to a high-performing diverse and supportive team

You will be fully supported with training in UHCS systems and processes including privacy clinical documentation primary health processes and emergency procedures.

University Health and Counselling Service (UHCS) is part of Student and Scholarly Services a division focused on supporting the holistic student experience. UHCS is a multidisciplinary service of GPs nurses counsellors and psychologists who work together to deliver high-quality culturally responsive care.

You are someone who enjoys connecting with people working in a fast-paced environment and making a positive difference. You thrive in roles where organisation empathy and clear communication are essential.

You will bring:

  • Experience in customer service or reception roles within busy environments
  • Comfort supporting people who may be distressed or vulnerable
  • A calm solutions-focused approach especially under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong digital literacy skills (MS Office essential)
  • Discretion integrity and commitment to confidentiality

Its even better if you also bring:

  • Experience in a health counselling or primary care setting
  • Familiarity with student populations and wellbeing services
  • Knowledge of patient management systems
  • Customer service or medical reception training
  • A current First Aid Certificate
