Job Summary

Ravenswood School for Girls is a Uniting Church Prep to Year 12 day and boarding school for girls located on Sydneys North Shore. Ravenswood offers both the HSC and the IB Diploma Programme as well as the PYP in the Junior School. We are seeking a dynamic enthusiastic and thoughtful Religious Education Teacher to join our dedicated team on a temporary part-time basis approximately 0.8 FTE spread across 5 days. The position will commence ideally at the beginning of Term 1 and is temporary until the end of Term 2 2026.

At Ravenswood we aim to inspire students interest in their studies both in the classroom and through co-curricular experiences. The successful applicant will be an engaging and effective classroom practitioner who demonstrates creativity and rigor in the delivery of curriculum and enjoys working in a committed professional team.

To be successful in securing this position you will demonstrate:

Demonstrate strong knowledge and personal understanding of Christian theology and the ability to teach Religious Education in a way that is relevant engaging and academically rigorous
Ability to teach Religious Education for students from Year 7-12 and willingness to teach HSC Studies of Religion
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages discussion reflection and independent thinking
An interest in Social Justice initiatives
Strong ICT Skills
The ability to differentiate in the delivery of curriculum
A Flexible and collegial approach
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
