Role overview



We are looking for aService Managerto join ourclinicinManchester. This will be 40 hours over 5 days per week including cover on weekends on a rota basis.



The Service Manager is an essential role within the service leadership team reporting to the Operational Director. The roleis responsible forthe day-to-day management and operational delivery of high-quality ophthalmology services at the site.

Youll be leading on service improvementand its a varied role youll be setting and monitoringutilisationand capacity targets managingthepatient feedbackprocess working towards KPIs liaising with contacts across the Support Office teams and with external suppliersand managing your team amongst a myriad of other tasks that make up a working day in a busy clinical service.

What skills and experience do I need



Werelooking for someone withpreviousoperational management experience ideally gained in a healthcare setting NHS or independent provider.Youllhave a sound commercialacumenworking closely with the Operational Directortoidentifynew serviceopportunities.

Youllhave managed a team and will bewell versed inleading and engaging your peopleinspiring them along the journey with you.

Youllhave demonstrable experience of working in a fast paced and target drivenenvironment andideallywill have experience of working in a regulated sector and understandbroad governancerequirements. It would beadvantageousof you have working knowledge of CQC requirements.

Youllpossessgreat stakeholder managementskillsandyoullhave the ability to flex your communication style to suit different audiences from patients to yourteam and from Clinical Directors toexternal organisations.

Youllbe an ace at time management and will be able to juggle priorities we work inafast-pacedenvironmentand things can changethroughoutthedaysoyoullbe able to react in the moment and make thesoundbusinessdecisions.

Andyoullbe tech savvy comfortable with working on a variety of IT systems and able topick up new systems andprogrammes confidentlyand with ease.
