Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Ensure the facility complies with HSE regulations and industry standards.
Develop implement and update HSE policies SOPs and safety guidelines.
Conduct regular risk assessments job safety analyses (JSA) and hazard identification.
Investigate accidents near misses and unsafe conditions; prepare detailed reports with corrective and preventive actions.
Track and analyze incident statistics to prevent recurrence.
Plan and deliver HSE training programs (PPE usage fire safety chemical handling machine safety emergency response etc.).
Ensure workers understand and follow safety rules and procedures.
Conduct routine workplace inspections equipment audits and safety walkthroughs.
Monitor the condition and operation of safety systems (fire extinguishers eyewash stations emergency exits alarms).
Maintain up-to-date HSE records permits MSDS/SDS documents and inspection logs.
Prepare HSE performance reports for management review.
Support internal and external audits.
Develop and implement emergency response plans (fire chemical spill medical emergencies).

Job Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Science Industrial Safety or related field.
Professional certifications such as NEBOSH IOSH OSHA or equivalent (preferred).
At least 1 year experience working as an HSE Officer in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Knowledge of HSE regulations risk management and safety standards.
Familiarity with ISO 45001/14001 management systems.

Salary Range: Up to RM5.5k
