Summary of Job Duties:

The Head Strength & Conditioning Coach will work directly with the head football coach to develop and execute an overall strength and conditioning program tailored to individual football student-athletes that maximize potential. This individual will assist in planning developing implementing communicating and administering a program to fulfill the goals of the Head Football Coach. They will be responsible for maintaining athletic strength and conditioning facilities and equipment. This position also provides educational resources on nutrition and supplements and work with the Sports Medicine Staff in providing injury rehabilitation. Provide overall supervision and management of strength and conditioning staff and student workers.

Regular reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty as is the ability to create and maintain collegial harmonious working relationships with others.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution of higher education

  • First Aid AED and CPR certified

  • Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and/or Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within an NCAA Division I or SEC football strength and conditioning program

  • 1 year supervisory experience of Assistant Strength and Conditioning Staff


Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of NCAA and SEC rules and regulations

  • Ability to communicate in a service oriented and collaborative spirit.

  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a diverse community
