The Data Insights Science and Optimization Music Product and Tech (DISCO MPT) team is looking for a Data Engineer to join a team of engineers and scientists who analyze big data provide analytics and insights and build models and algorithms to power Music product this role you will set the engineering vision and direction for the team and collaborate with internal stakeholders across product science and finance to scale and advance our data engineering offerings. You will lead large scale engineering solutions prioritize across multiple stakeholders and projects and be part of a fast-paced dynamic and fun environment.
Key job responsibilities
As a Data Engineer you will develop new data models using engineering patterns that leverage new cloud architectures genAI and will extend or migrate existing data pipelines to the architectures as needed. This role will also enable the team to build genAI based applications that will improve the efficiency of our BI teams and Product Managers. Collaborate with scientists to create fast and efficient algorithms that exploit our rich data sets for optimization statistical analysis prediction clustering and machine learning. Help continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes automating or simplifying self-service modeling and production support for customers. You will also be responsible to make sure our data store is secure and compliant and will work with Privacy and compliance teams.
About the team
The DISCO team focuses on accelerating Amazon Music customer growth by empowering product teams to make sound customer-centric decisions through data and insights. We build data pipelines self-service analytics insights and predictive models enabling acquisition engagement and retention at scale with personalized customer touchpoints.
- 3 years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift S3 AWS Glue EMR Kinesis FireHose Lambda and IAM roles and permissions
- Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage document or key-value stores graph databases column-family databases)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
