What we are looking for
Experience from the humanitarian sector in recovery complex and volatile contexts. Experience in an advocacy role with NGOs would be an asset. The role holder will have a strong grasp of humanitarian programming and protection principles with knowledge of the humanitarian context in Ukraine humanitarian operations and the dynamics of the humanitarian sector.
Demonstrated experience in coordination creation of advocacy alliances across various stakeholders withcommand of research and policy work.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in English and Ukrainian languages both written and verbal with proven presentation training and facilitation skills.

What you will do
The Policy and Advocacy Adviser will provide direct support to the NRC Ukraine Country Office in the implementation of NRCs advocacy particular they will be responsible for supporting the implementation of NRC Ukraines programme-based advocacy as well as carry out policy research in close collaboration with other functions of NRC Ukraine and its national partners.
Key responsibilities:
Support the implementation of NRC Ukraines Advocacy Strategy in line with country and regional priorities and NRCs Global Advocacy Strategy.
Lead Programme-Based Advocacy. Ensure strong integration between program operations and advocacy efforts providing guidance to operational teams on advocacy plans across key joint
Develop and produce high-quality advocacy and policy products in line with NRCs programming and advocacy goals.
Ensure advocacy coherence and reinforce effective synergies between programmes and advocacy.
Support systematic training on advocacy and build capacity of technical staff and partners. Lead advocacy capacity-building efforts at the area level to ensure greater synergies between advocacy and programme teams.
Undertake regular travel to NRC program locations to gather information and stories relating to NRC programmes and support program staff with advocacy-related activities.
Coordinate with key stakeholders support the creation of strategic advocacy alliances networks and identify opportunities to advocate NRCs position with the broader humanitarian community particularly with national NGOs and local responders.
Leverage digital tools and data-driven approaches to enhance evidence-based advocacy
Deputise for the Advocacy Manager as required and undertake additional tasks as assigned and agreed with the supervisor.
Ensure compliance and adherence to NRC policies guidance and procedures.
What you will bring

Demonstrated experience in coordination creation of advocacy alliances across various stakeholders withcommand of research and policy work.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in English and Ukrainian languages both written and verbal.
Strong work ethic and focus on results organisational and teamwork skills with good ability to work independently.
Sensitivity with high a level of self-awareness highly approachable trustworthy and confidential.
Proven presentation training and facilitation skills.
Analytical creative with computer skills including MS Office (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint Access).

Salary/benefits: Grade 8 on NRCs grading structure.
