Job Summary

As a Senior Backend Engineer you will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software applications. Your role will involve leading technical projects mentoring junior engineers and continuously improving software development practices to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software systems.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead the design development and optimization of scalable serverless backend systems using and AWS services;
• Architect and maintain microservices and APIs ensuring reliability performance and seamless integration across cloud-based components;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver backend features improve CI/CD pipelines and ensure high-quality code through reviews and continuous optimization.

Essential Skills

• Extensive experience as a Backend Developer with strong expertise in JavaScript and frameworks such as Express or NestJS;
• Advanced proficiency with AWS services including Lambda DynamoDB API Gateway ECS S3 SQS/SNS RDS and IAM;
• Deep understanding of serverless architecture event-driven design and microservices environments;
• Strong command of SQL and NoSQL databases and hands-on experience with version control tools such as GitHub or GitLab;
• Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation practices for efficient deployments;
• Proficiency with infrastructure tools such as Kubernetes Terraform Docker and CloudFormation;
• Experience designing and optimizing ETL and ELT processes using AWS Glue with Python or PySpark;
• Hands-on experience with AWS Glue Crawlers Data Catalog schema inference and partitioning strategies for efficient querying;
• Ability to build and manage cloud data infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform AWS CDK or CloudFormation;
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies with strong collaboration and leadership capabilities;
• Experience configuring serverless identity management using AWS Cognito.
