Senior Data Platforms Architect

The Global Digital Data Arch & Engineering CoE is looking to recruit a Senior Data Platforms Architect. As a Senior Data Platforms Architect you will define and evolve the architecture of EDPs enterprise data ecosystem - enabling analytics AI and digital transformation at scale. Youll design future-proof secure and interoperable data platforms aligned with EDPs Data & Analytics Reference Architecture and data governance framework.

What you will do:

• Design and maintain EDPs enterprise-wide data platform reference architecture.
• Lead the adoption of cloud solutions with modern data lakehouse architectures and integration with business data domains.
• Define reference models and standards ensuring interoperability and compliance.
• Collaborate with IT cybersecurity and business teams to align architecture with enterprise strategy.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies (e.g. Databricks Snowflake Microsoft Fabric Kafka).
• Drive architectural governance performance optimization and platform security.
• Mentor engineering teams and promote best practices in data solutions design and operations

What are we looking for:

• Degree Masters or Doctorate in engineering or related field.
• 5 years in data architecture platform engineering or solution design.
• Proven experience with cloud-native data ecosystems (Azure AWS GCP)- Strong background in Databricks Spark Data Factory and data modeling.
• Solid understanding of data governance lineage and security (GDPR).
• Skilled in CI/CD infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/Bicep) and DevOps for data.
• Preferred:
  • Experience with data mesh ML Ops and FinOps.
  • Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect or Databricks Certified Data Architect.
• Excellent autonomy communication and collaboration abilities.
