With over 100 hotels and present in 16 BI team mission is to provide data-driven insights and support to help our organization make informed decisions improve performance and achieve our strategic are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our BI team at Pestana Hotel Group. Your key responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Optimize and improve existing data systems for better performance and reliability.
- Implement data governance and security measures to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes to ingest and transform data from various sources.
- Create and manage data models databases and data warehouses.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering and architecture.
About you:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or Data Architect.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop Spark or similar.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python Java or Scala.
- Experience with data modeling ETL processes and data warehousing.
- Familiarity with data governance and security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AzureAWS or Google Cloud.
