The Opportunity
We are creating an AI & Data Hub at EY-Parthenon Portugal designed to serve countries across the Europe West region and accelerate the adoption of advanced analytics and AI solutions.
As aData Engineer you will play a key role in this strategic initiative by designing and building robust data pipelines and architectures that enable AI-driven solutions. You will work closely with data scientists AI engineers and business consultants to ensure data availability quality and scalability for high-impact projects.
Your key responsibilities
- Design and maintain robust data pipelines for AI applications.
- Ensure data availability integrity and scalability across platforms.
- Implement ETL processes to prepare data for analytics and modeling.
- Optimize infrastructure for high-volume and real-time data processing.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data flow to minimize downtime.
To qualify for this role you must have
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or related fields.
- 3 years of experience in data engineering or similar roles.
- Strong proficiency in SQL Python and experience with ETL tools.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure AWS or GCP) and data lake/data warehouse solutions.
- Knowledge of big data technologies (Spark Hadoop) and streaming frameworks (Kafka).
- Familiarity with data modeling API integration and CI/CD pipelines.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Ideally youll also have
- Experience in consulting or large-scale enterprise projects.
- Knowledge of MLOps and integration with AI/ML workflows.
- Certifications in Cloud Data Engineering (Azure Data Engineer AWS Big Data Specialty etc.).
