Project Manager - Civil

The Project Manager Civil will be responsible for planning executing and overseeing civil engineering projects from initiation to completion ensuring that all work is delivered on time within budget and in compliance with quality and safety standards. This role involves interpreting project requirements coordinating with multidisciplinary teams managing contractors and suppliers and ensuring accurate project documentation throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Manager will provide strong leadership in site management resource allocation and progress monitoring while facilitating effective communication among engineers consultants clients and other stakeholders.

Candidate Profile:

Bachelors degree in civil engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 8 years experience in the construction industry specifically in civil projects.

Strong knowledge of structural architectural and MEP works with the ability to read drawings plan schedules monitor progress and manage cost control variations and contracts (FIDIC).

Skilled in planning cost control and contract administration.

Proficient in MS Project/Primavera and MS Office.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to cost management and project delivery.

Knowledge of local construction regulations standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee overall project planning and scheduling ensuring all activities are aligned with the approved project programme.

Coordinate closely with clients consultants the site team and subcontractors to maintain smooth project execution and resolve issues promptly.

Manage the project budget monitor cost control measures and evaluate variations to prevent cost overruns.

Handle all contractual correspondence and documentation ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and timely submissions.

Review and approve construction drawings method statements material submittals and technical proposals before issuing them to consultants.

Support the site team with technical guidance problem-solving and the planning of manpower materials and equipment.

Manage procurement activities and ensure the timely delivery of materials services and subcontractor resources required on site.

Monitor quality and safety compliance through reports audits and feedback from the site team ensuring adherence to standards.

Track weekly and monthly project progress conduct review meetings and implement corrective actions where delays are identified.

Identify potential risks early assess their impact and implement mitigation measures with relevant team members.

Communicate overall project status challenges and action plans to the client and internal management clearly and professionally.

Provide regular progress financial and performance reports to senior management to support decision-making and oversight.
