We are in search of a skilled and dependable Service Technician for our multi-family apartment community in Fort Worth Texas. The ideal candidate will have expertise in light electrical carpentry plumbing and painting and must be available for on-call rotations. Exceptional people skills are a must to deliver excellent customer service to our residents.

About this opportunity:

  • Location: Dream Marine Creek 5201 Shadydell Drive Fort Worth TX 76135
  • Compensation: Starting at $20.00 commissions (based on experience)
  • Position type: Full-time

What we are looking for in a Service Technician:

  • HVAC certification required
  • Skilled in electrical plumbing appliance painting plaster/drywall and lock repairs
  • Able to complete apartment turns within five (5) days
  • Experience with turnovers in both new and older buildings
  • Must provide own basic tools
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Clear professional communication with residents vendors and teammates
  • Familiar with property management operations and basic budgeting principles (preferred)
  • Valid drivers license clean driving record and reliable transportation for daily assignments and on-call rotation
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently
  • Capable of climbing ladders and accessing roofs crawl spaces and attics as needed
  • Able to stand walk bend kneel and crouch for extended periods
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Must be available for after-hours emergencies and on-call rotation
  • Consistent dependable attendance required

Responsibilities of a Service Technician:

  • Responding to resident maintenance requests and service requests.
  • Identify and correct hazardous property conditions.
  • Look for needed maintenance or potential liability hazards and report them to the supervisor or manager.
  • Prepare vacant apartments for move-in within 5 days of move-out.
  • Make all necessary repairs and replacements so the apartment can be occupied.
  • Apply touch-up paint as needed to the apartment and area outside entrances.
  • Clean out all trash from before during and after make-ready.
  • Assist in other areas of property including HVAC painting electrical plumbing drywalland appliance repairs
  • Maintain grounds and keep communities free of trash and debris
  • Respond to any emergency calls when scheduled for on-call
