Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to oversee the successful delivery of platform enhancement projects for our clients influencer marketing superapp. This role involves managing a cross-functional team of engineers coordinating across mobile backend data and DevOps specializations and ensuring timely delivery of features while maintaining high quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong experience managing B2C consumer-facing applications with real user impact.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Team Management
- Manage end-to-end delivery of platform enhancement.
- Lead cross-functional team of engineers including Mobile (React Native) Backend (Ruby on Rails) Data DevOps and QA specialists
- Define project scope timelines milestones and deliverables in collaboration with client stakeholders
- Track project progress using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) with regular sprint planning and retrospectives
- Allocate resources effectively across multiple work streams ensuring optimal team utilization
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as primary point of contact between engineering team and client leadership
- Conduct regular status meetings with client stakeholders providing transparent progress updates
- Manage expectations scope changes and requirement clarifications effectively
- Present project demos technical documentation and delivery reports to client executives
- Translate business requirements into actionable technical deliverables
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify project risks dependencies and blockers proactively with mitigation strategies
- Manage team capacity workload distribution and prevent resource burnout
- Handle production issues and coordinate rapid response when incidents occur
- Make trade-off decisions balancing technical quality timeline and budget constraints
- Escalate critical issues to appropriate stakeholders with proposed solutions
Quality & Process Management
- Establish and enforce quality standards for code testing and deployment processes
- Monitor key metrics including velocity burn-down bug counts and deployment frequency
- Conduct project retrospectives and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure security compliance and data privacy requirements are met across all deliverables
- Manage app store submission processes and coordinate with Apple/Google for approvals
- Ensure timely resolution of external dependencies and vendor-related issues
Required Skills & Qualifications
Project Management Skills
- Experience: 6 years in software delivery management with 3 years managing technical teams
- Methodologies: Strong expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies sprint planning and backlog management
- Tools: Proficiency in Jira Confluence GitHub Projects Slack or similar project management tools
- Team Leadership: Proven track record of managing mid-size engineering teams
Technical Knowledge (Good to have)
- Mobile Development: Understanding of React Native iOS Android development lifecycle and app store processes
- Backend Systems: Familiarity with Ruby on Rails API development RESTful/GraphQL and database systems.
- Cloud & DevOps: Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) CI/CD and deployment processes
- API Integrations: Understanding of third-party API integrations (social media payment analytics platforms)
- B2C Applications: Strong experience managing consumer-facing applications with real user metrics and engagement
Soft Skills
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to manage client expectations and handle difficult conversations
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with proactive approach
- Leadership: Ability to motivate teams resolve conflicts and drive results
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in startup environment with changing requirements
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelors/masters in computer science Engineering Business Management or related field
- PMP CSM or equivalent certifications are a plus
Preferred Experience
- 6 years in software delivery management with 3 years managing technical teams in B2C environments
- Experience managing projects for social media platforms marketplace applications or content-driven consumer apps would be an added advantage.
