Job Summary
The Pharmacy Manager for Pharmacy Technician Training and Education oversees the development and management of comprehensive training programs for pharmacy technicians across MGB. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards and supports technician career advancement through education and competency assessments.Qualifications

Licenses and Credentials
Pharmacy Technician State License - Generic - HR Only required Pharmacy Technician Certification CPhT - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience as a certified pharmacy technician in a hospital or health system setting 5-7 years required and At least 2 years of experience in supervisory leadership training or an educational role 2-3 years required and Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering training programs including onboarding competency assessments and continuing education 2-3 years required
Knowledge Skills and Abilities

- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence across multiple departments and sites.
- Displays a comprehensive knowledge of department operations.
- Works accurately and make decisions under stress and with time constraints.

- Strong working knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations including Board of Pharmacy Department of Public Health USP and Joint Commission standards.
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program or equivalent required.
