Duties and Responsibilities for our Teachers
- Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate emergent curriculum for young children
- Develop activities to meet the physical emotional intellectual and social needs of the children in the program
- Develop culturally appropriate program and activities
- Implement positive discipline techniques in the classroom
- Clearly and effectively communicate with children parents and staff
- Observe children and make note of progress in child-specific portfolios
- Discuss childrens development with parents in bi-annual parent/teacher conferences
- Complete 20 hours of professional development each year
- Keep parents informed of program expectations program activities and their childs progress
- Ensure the facility and equipment are clean well maintained and safe at all times
Requirements
- Bilingual/bi-literate in both English and Spanish
- EEC Teacher or Lead Teacher Certified - or in process.
