An exciting opportunity has arisen for a role within the Europrop International (EPI) consortium as a Commercial Manager. This role is a secondment role based at the EPI office in Madrid or Munich. The Commercial Manager in this role is responsible for the Airbus Engine agreement contract (OE & In-service tasks).
Europrop International is the European consortium responsible for the design and delivery of the TP400 engine powering the Airbus Defence and Space A400M aircraft providing tactical and strategic airlift capability for operators around the world. Rolls-Royce is one of four Partner Companies that make-up the consortium along with ITP MTU and SAFRAN.
Rolls-Royce forms part of the EPI consortium and as such is expected to ensure the success of EPI through the provision of relevant skills and knowledge through personnel secondments.
Scope:
- To assist the Head of Airbus Business in delivering accountabilities.
- Provide key leadership for the Commercial team in the absence of the Head of Airbus Business.
- Management of the Airbus contract.
- Additional sales management within the framework of the Engine agreement.
- Support commercial function on an as necessary basis to execute key deliverables.
Accountabilities:
- Management of key commercial interfaces with Airbus with regards to production development and in service tasks for the TP400.
- Management and Delivery of the Engine Agreement with Airbus.
- Manage prepare and negotiate commercial offers with the customer in respect of additional business or non-contractual claims.
- Prepare contractual drafting and negotiate contractual terms to amendments to the existing engine agreement.
- Ensure governance compliance to the internal EPI / Partner Companies approval processes.
- To liaise with other members of EPI e.g Engineering Finance Sales Procurement and Programme as required to deliver their accountabilities and provide contractual guidance.
- To ensure compliance of proposals to EPI commercial processes and policies.
- Delivery of key commercial KPIs e.g Cash profit and customer responsiveness.
- To support the Head of Airbus commercial in discharging his/her accountabilities to deliver EPIs contractual requirements.
- Ownership and management of key commercial processes and policies.
- Provide commercial advice and support to the wider EPI organisation.
- To ensure that work is carried out in an auditable manner providing document and communication traceability.
- To participate and support the function in emerging Business issues.
- To liaise with other members of the Commercial Team as required assisting them to deliver their accountabilities.
- To be compliant with the EPI Quality Management System.
Profile:
- Experience with managing customer/supplier relationships and resolving customer issues.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to negotiate and draft contracts in English Language.
- Technical knowledge on engine and engine support.
- Business acumen.
