Thorne Harbour Health (THH) is a community-controlled LGBTIQ health organisation with a 40-year history responding to HIV and supporting the health and wellbeing of LGBTIQ communities. We are seeking an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander HIV Peer Worker to strengthen Mob our peer-led support group for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living with HIV and to help establish a culturally informed Advisory Group.
About the Role
Working one day per week the HIV Peer Worker will:
This role is grounded in community development principles and meaningful involvement of people living with HIV (MIPA) ensuring programs are culturally safe peer-led and responsive to community needs.
About You
You will have a tertiary qualification in community development health social sciences or equivalent lived experience and identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person living with HIV.
