Are you enthusiastic about making a difference in your community and delivering exceptional customer service We have an exciting opportunity for a Housing Options Manager to lead our Housing Options service fulfilling statutory homelessness duties on behalf of Bromsgrove District Council under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
The Role
This is a pivotal role where youll ensure the effective prevention assessment and relief of homelessness while driving continuous improvement and leading a dynamic customer-focused team.
You will:
- Provide housing and homelessness advice to a diverse range of customers including those with complex needs and vulnerabilities.
- Oversee complex cases ensuring timely and effective resolutions including arranging emergency accommodation when required.
- Lead strategies to prevent homelessness through early intervention and strong partnership working.
- Manage the delivery of the homelessness contract meeting all statutory obligations and performance targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Bromsgrove District Council partner agencies and support services representing bdht at local and national forums.
About You
Were looking for a housing professional who is:
- Experienced in a customer-facing role with a solid understanding of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and related legislation.
- Knowledgeable about safeguarding and supporting vulnerable customers with a commitment to equality and diversity.
- Skilled in communication and negotiation able to manage complex cases and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Experienced in partnership working and confident in building collaborative relationships.
- Leadership experience in housing options or homelessness services would be an advantage.
