About you and this role

Dow has an exciting opportunity for supply chain scheduling specialist who decides what when and where to supply for multiple production sites or multiple plants at one site within a single business or multiple smaller businesses. Balances supply and demand over the operational horizon to achieve optimum product availability asset utilization and supply chain efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Time-Phased Supply Scheduling: Develops short-term supply plans that align with business needs considering plant-wide constraints inventory targets and customer service levels.
  • Sourcing Strategy Execution: Determines and applies optimal regional or global sourcing rules including managing external manufacturing agreements.
  • Planning Model Ownership: Operates and maintains site or regional planning models ensuring efficient use of IT systems and functional expertise.
  • Inventory Oversight: Monitors inventory levels identifies slow-moving stock and ensures alignment with supply plans.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively identifies and resolves supply issues such as capacity constraints shortages or urgent customer demands.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinates with customer service manufacturing logistics and third-party providers to manage disruptions and meet commitments.
  • Master Data Governance: Maintains accurate production parameters (e.g. material masters routings) and follows best practices for master data management.
  • Support for Global Initiatives: Collaborates with global supply chain teams and shared services to support broader strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • University Degree preferably in Supply Chain Management Business Engineering or other Sciences.
  • Required to know Japanese and English.
