Job Summary
A well-established mining operation in Rustenburg is seeking qualified and experienced Nozzle Operators to join their team. This role is essential to maintaining safe effective secondary support on the high wall and ensuring all shotcrete application meets operational and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Grade 10 Certificate
- Certificate of Competency as a Nozzle Operator
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Nozzle Operator in a mining environment
- Medically fit
Responsibilities:
- Apply shotcrete according to instructions and to the required thickness.
- Follow all mine standards and specifications.
- Ensure probes are correctly colour-coded and spaced accurately.
- Comply with safety and maintenance procedures at all times.
- Maintain clean and safe working areas for optimal productivity.
- Supply shotcrete forward and backward to ensure quality output.
- Correctly measure and monitor water content in the mix.
- Report progress to the Shotcrete Supervisor.
- Work safely under Sections 22 and 23 of the Mine Health and Safety Act.
- Adhere to all site operational and procedural requirements.
