As a Thermal Engineer you will play a key role driving thermal design analysis and test activities for advanced space hardware programs. Responsibilities include:
Providing thermal design inputs to mechanical and electrical engineering teams
Conducting thermal modeling using Thermal Desktop (SINDA) and/or Ansys tools (ICEPAK Fluent Mechanical)
Developing detailed thermal analysis reports and engineering documentation
Creating and executing thermal test and qualification plans
Installing thermocouples/heaters configuring DAQ systems and conducting hands-on thermal testing
Correlating thermal test results with analytical thermal models
Supporting architecture trade studies for electronic enclosures
Performing PCB-level and module-level preliminary thermal analysis
Collaborating with cross-functional teams across the hardware development lifecycle
Supporting early-stage R&D and development-phase test operations
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
3 years of hands-on experience with Thermal Desktop (SINDA) and/or Ansys thermal tools
2 years of direct experience with:
Thermal test planning and setup
Thermocouple/heater installation
DAQ and power supply operation
Executing thermal tests and evaluating results
Demonstrated ability to correlate thermal test data to analytical models
Strong technical writing skills including formal engineering reports
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in aerospace avionics or high-reliability electronics
CAD experience (NX or SolidWorks)
Experience correlating data to production-level thermal models
Satellite space-system or RF hardware experience
