DescriptionAs an Mech Design Engr here at Honeywell you will design and develop advanced mechanical systems collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive innovation in mechanical design and product performance. You will report directly to our Mech Design Eng Manager and youll work out of our Brno Czechia location on a Hybrid work schedule.
Supporting design and development of conveyors sorters their components and accessories with primary focus to Value/Component engineering strategy in accordance with customer needs and valid company procedures.
Responsibilities- Optimize newly developed and existing conveyor/sorter systems components and their accessories from perspective of manufacturing and purchasing costs and proven technologies primarily available at the company and at approved suppliers
- Continously improve conveyors/sorters product portfolio especially in terms of fit form function and production technology with primar focus to decrease of costs
- Create 3D models drawings bills of materials and other types of technical documentation in compliance with internal company procedures and valid engineering standards
- Provide outputs of given tasks in software and systems established by company in harmony with given rules
- Assist and provide support on building physical parts prototypes testing and maintenance inhouse or at customer site if necessary
- Active support and cooperation with other departments towards achieving project targets and company strategic goals
- Management full ownership and responsibility on assigned activities pro active communication and collaboration with neighboring departments and stakeholders
- Regular reporting of progress and results on assigned tasks and any circumstances which can have negative impacts on achieving defined goals and targets
- Actively research and try to get familiar with latest state of art in conveyor/sorter systems and in mechanical engineering overall to improve own skills and further increase the competence of the whole team/department
QualificationsKey requirements:
- Bachelor or Masters degree in mechanical engineering
- 2-5 years as a Mechanical Engineer
- Experience with value engineering
- Knowledge of any common 3D CAD PDM systems
- Group B driving license
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation and drawings
- Understanding of basic technologies (machining bending cutting etc.)
- MS Office
- English B2-C2
