This team are changing the way people with disability think about housing and are now seeking a passionate and experienced Tenancy & Property Officer to join their dynamic team.
The Role:
In this role you will support the day-to-day operations of the teams national property portfolio ensuring a tenant-centric housing management service that is responsive respectful and effective.
This role requires a blend of property and tenancy expertise a collaborative mindset and a genuine commitment to improving housing outcomes for people with disability. You will work closely with tenants their support networks and a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure tenancy and property matters are handled with care and professionalism.
You will:
- Conduct property inspections investigate and resolve tenancy disputes and complaints.
- Oversee lease sign-ups ensuring rent and bond payments are in place or managed incrementally.
- Monitor and follow up on rent and bond arrears.
- Manage property maintenance and repairs liaising with tradespeople and contractors.
- Provide ongoing tenancy support post-move-in and respond to repair requests or tenant queries.
- Accurately maintain tenant and property records using internal IT systems.
- Build strong relationships with tenants their families support coordinators and allied health professionals.
- Liaise with strata building management and developers to resolve property-related matters.
- Ensure all tenancy documents and correspondence are filed accurately and securely.
- Provide timely and empathetic responses to tenant queries and concerns.
You will be someone with:
- Demonstrated experience in tenancy and/or property management.
- Knowledge of relevant state-based tenancy legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Competency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint) and Adobesoftware.
- Strong organisational skills and problem-solving ability.
- Commitment to person-centred service delivery and tenancy sustainment.
Desirable:
- Experience in the disability or community housing sector and familiarity with property management systems.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (or willingness to complete upon appointment).
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel interstate or regionally if required.
