Key Responsibilities

• Perform precise dimensional measurements on manufactured parts tools and assemblies.
• Calibrate maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of metrology equipment including CMMs vision systems and hand tools.
• Analyze measurement data identify trends and generate detailed reports for quality control and engineering teams.
• Develop document and validate measurement procedures and programs.
• Ensure all metrology activities comply with internal quality standards and external regulations (e.g. ISO 17025).
• Manage and maintain accurate calibration schedules and records for all measurement tools.
• Provide technical support and training on metrology principles and equipment usage to production staff.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating and calibrating precision measurement equipment (e.g. CMMs optical comparators calipers micrometers).
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and blueprint interpretation.
• Technical degree or certification in metrology quality assurance or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control or metrology laboratory setting.
• Ability to analyze measurement data troubleshoot discrepancies and generate detailed inspection reports.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso MCOSMOS).
• Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g. Minitab JMP) for process capability studies.
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification.
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD) for model interpretation and fixture design.
