The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across East Lansing seeking EHS Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all federal state and local EHS regulations (e.g. OSHA EPA).
• Develop implement and manage EHS policies procedures and programs.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate hazards.
• Lead incident investigations root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Design and deliver EHS training programs for all levels of employees.
• Perform regular EHS audits and inspections identifying areas for improvement.
• Manage EHS data reporting and record-keeping for regulatory and internal requirements.
• Develop and maintain emergency preparedness and response plans.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EHS Engineering or a related scientific field; professional certifications (e.g. CSP CIH) highly preferred.
• 7 years of progressive EHS experience with at least 5 years directly within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA EPA and other relevant federal state and local EHS regulations and standards.
• Proven experience developing implementing and managing EHS programs and management systems (e.g. ISO 14001 ISO 45001).
• Demonstrated ability to lead EHS initiatives conduct training and influence a strong safety culture across all levels of an organization.

Bonus Qualifications

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation.
• Experience applying Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies to EHS initiatives.
• ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification or implementation experience.
• Proficiency with EHS management software and data analytics for trend identification and predictive safety.
